La valutazione dei Key Performance Indicator (KPI) è un passaggio fondamentale per il successo del progetto. Per valutare adeguatamente i KPI è necessario identificare una baseline rispetto alla quale valutare l’efficacia delle misure e delle attività implementate dal Progetto. Nel contesto dell’adattamento ai cambiamenti climatici, questa identificazione iniziale non è facile:
• per quanto riguarda le attività tecniche del progetto, l’adattamento ai cambiamenti climatici è un approccio diverso e poco diffuso e l’efficacia delle misure potrebbe avere orizzonti temporali molto lunghi;
• per le attività socioeconomiche, la definizione dello scenario di base potrebbe dover affrontare una doppia sfida: essere molto ottimisti, data l’importanza data alla questione del cambiamento climatico; affrontare le difficoltà di comunicazione, poiché l’adattamento ai cambiamenti climatici è una questione recente e non restituisce risultati a breve termine. A questo scopo, l’estrazione dei KPI webtool è un passo fondamentale per avviare le attività in coordinamento con la selezione e la valutazione dei KPI (D9.8).
Il KPI webtool sarà impostato all’inizio del Progetto e sarà rivisto dopo ogni fase finale e alla fine del progetto. Il Deliverable 9.1 fornisce una descrizione di:
• una panoramica della struttura del portale del KPI webtool;
• il processo che ha portato al caricamento dei dati;
• una breve descrizione dell’organizzazione dei dati raccolti nel documento allegato al presente deliverable. Questo documento fornisce una descrizione del processo che ha portato al primo snapshot del KPI webtool. La piattaforma fornita dal CINEA nell’ottobre 2023 è composta da più parti che consentono la descrizione, l’organizzazione e lo scopo del Progetto. I valori richiesti e caricati sulla piattaforma erano originariamente riportati nel Grant Agreement; ciò che è stato implementato in questa fase è la descrizione di come questi valori verranno raggiunti.
Executive Summary (EN)
The evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is a fundamental step for the success of the project. In order to properly evaluate KPIs it is necessary to identify a baseline against which the effectiveness of the measures and activities implemented by the Project can be assessed. In the context of climate change adaptation, this initial identification is not easy:
• with regard to the technical activities of the project, adaptation to climate change is a different and not very widespread approach and the effectiveness of the measures could have very long time lags;
• for the socio-economic activities, the definition of the baseline may face a double challenge: to be very optimistic, given the importance given to the issue of climate change; to face communication difficulties, as adaptation to climate change is a recent issue and does not have short-term results. For this purpose, the extraction of the KPIs webtool is a fundamental step to start the activities in coordination with the assessment and evaluation of the KPIs (D9.8).
The KPIs webtool will be set at the beginning of the project and will be revised after each end phase and at the end of the project. Deliverable 9.1 provides a description of:
• an overview of the structure of the KPIs webtool portal;
• the process that led to the data upload;
• a brief description of the organisation of the data collected in the document attached to this deliverable. This document provides an overview of the process that led to the first snapshot of the KPI webtool. The platform provided by CINEA in October 2023 is composed of several parts that allow the description, organisation and scope of the project. The values required and uploaded to the platform were originally reported in the Grant Agreement; what has been implemented is the description of how these values will be achieved.
